Very Rev. Michael MacEwen



Fr. MacEwen, or “Fr. Mike” as he likes to be called comes to us from Immaculate Conception in Marlborough where he has been pastor for the last 12 years. Fr. MacEwen was ordained to the Priesthood in 1985 and began his ministry just down the street at St. James in Wellesley. Fr. MacEwen also served as the priest secretary to the Archbishop of Boston for a number of years.

Fr. Chip Hines



Fr. Chip Hines grew up in Reading, just north of Boston graduated from RMHS and Ithaca College in upstate New York. Fr. Chip worked in Commercial real estate doing property accounting from 1990 till 1998 when he entered Saint John’s Seminary in Brighton, MA. He was ordained by Cardinal Sean O’Malley in 2004. His first assignment was Immaculate Conception in Malden, from there he was named pastor of Saint Mary’s in Wrentham, then pastor of Saint Joseph in Medford and then his last assignment, before Natick, as pastor of the Walpole collaborative. After a lengthy illness he came to the Natick Catholic Community first to recover from surgery and then he was assigned as parochial vicar until being named the administrator of the collaborative to assist our pastor, Fr. Mike, as he battles health issues. Fr. Chip enjoys new technology and trying to use social media for evangelization. He also enjoys spending time with his parents, his two brothers, one sister in law and five nephews.

Rev. Leroy Owens

Senior Priest in Residence

Fr. Owens, or "Fr. Leroy" comes to us from St. Edward's in Medfield where he was the Pastor for the past 19 years. On February 9th he celebrated his 50th year of priestly ordination. Fr. Owens is well known in the area as he served at St. Bridget's, Marian High School, and at Our Lady's in Newton.


Fr. Michael Alfano

Parochial Vicar

Fr. Michael was ordained in 1987.  He comes to us from Pope Saint John XXIII National Seminary in Weston where he served as the Director of Pastoral Formation for the last ten years.  Prior to his time at Pope Saint John XXIII Seminary Fr. Alfano ministered in various Parishes throughout the Archdiocese, most recently at Saint Stephen Parish in Framingham.
